About Us

Prepared 4 Adventure combines two lifelong passions: education and helping others.

The courses we offer are designed to be instructional, interactive, and fun.

Encountering an emergency can be scary, but being prepared can help make the situation less stressful.

Ryan Avery

Most of my professional life has been devoted to education. I began my career in Human Resources and spent the majority of my time in the training department. After being laid off, I returned to school to earn a Master's Degree and began work as a public school teacher. Both of these roles have helped me to understand how to present information in a way that is understandable and meaningful for my students.

My passion for helping others began when I was a Boy Scout. I saw first aid skills as a way to be able to help others in a time of need. Building on this passion, I have worked as a lifeguard and an EMT. My hope is that I can be a bright spot for someone on their bad day.

Ryan was very knowledgeable with real world examples. Scenarios were relevant to what I'd likely encounter while Scouting. Hands on application of splinting and evacuation techniques were helpful.
